Created by Italian Merchants generations ago, this traditional Italian olive spread combines olives, garlic oil, capers, carrots, peppers, celery & more resulting in a garden fresh taste treat!
Used in making Louisiana style Muffuletta sandwich created by delicatessen owner Salvatore Lupe a Sicilian immigrant in the early 1900s that has gone on the become what has been proclaimed....possibly the Best Sandwich in America.
Stir in generously into pasta, stews, soups, mashed, scalloped or baked potatoes and more.
We love this on a warm baguette, spoon over fresh sliced tomatoes for a wonderful treat. Use as an appetizer spread with crackers or add to your favorite salad dressing for a nice zing!
